The recruitment process for the small arts organization focus groups took into consideration geographic, demographic, urban or rural, gender and ethnic differences as well as the various arts disciplines.
Small Arts Organizations Search
Ohio's daily and weekly newspapers were searched for small arts organizations to be included in the directory. Local arts councils, chambers of commerce, statewide arts associations and libraries also were contacted for lists of small arts organizations. The final directory includes approximately 500 small arts organizations.
